Samuel E. Cohen Promoted to Partner at Gross McGinley

Gross McGinley, LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of Samuel E. Cohen to Partner of the Lehigh Valley law firm. This promotion reflects the growing success of Sam’s legal practice as well as his dedication to the firm and his community.

As a partner, Sam will continue to build his successful commercial litigation practice, counseling individuals, small businesses, and large corporations on transactions, employment matters, product warranties, and zoning disputes. Over his past eight years at Gross McGinley, Sam has litigated matters on behalf of businesses across a wide variety of industries including construction, banking, retail, real estate, media and publishing, and health care. He has also pursued civil litigation matters on behalf of individuals and business clients in the area of debt collections, and assists businesses with partnership and corporate formations. Sam has successfully litigated claims founded in breach of contract, employment discrimination, and premise liability defense, to name a few.

Sam was selected for inclusion in the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars lists from 2014-2016, a distinction reserved for no more than 2.5% of young attorneys in Pennsylvania. In 2013, he was named one of the Lehigh Valley’s “Finest Under Forty” by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

As an active community leader, Sam serves on the Board of Directors for the Allentown Chamber of Commerce, the Lehigh Valley Arts Council, and The Literacy Center of the Lehigh Valley. He is a member and past president of the Moravian Academy Alumni Board and serves as a member of Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Board of Associates. Sam currently serves as an Arbitrator to Lehigh County.

Prior to joining Gross McGinley, Sam clerked for the Honorable Ronald L. Buckwalter of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He earned his J.D. in 2006 from Suffolk University Law School and his B.A. in 2002 from Colgate University.
