Andrew Ralston Appointed to Hamilton District Main Street Program Board of Directors
Attorney Andrew Ralston was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Hamilton District Main Street Program, a community development project of the Allentown Chamber of Commerce. As a 7th generation Allentown resident who has worked in Downtown Allentown all his life, Andy looks forward to working with his fellow board members to support Allentown’s dynamic and growing business community.
The Hamilton District Main Street Program is an initiative developed by the Allentown Chamber of Commerce to revitalize Allentown’s Downtown business district. The program covers the area between 5th Street to 12th Street and Walnut to Linden Streets, in Allentown. The program provides funding for preserving historical buildings as well as addressing façade issues, parking areas, signage, sidewalks, and street lights. The organization also hosts and promotes events to raise awareness of all that Downtown Allentown has to offer including Blues Brews and Barbecue, Summer in the City concert series, First Mondays, the Annual Tree Lighting ceremony, Downtown Restaurant Weeks and much more. The Safe Clean and Green Committee works with the City of Allentown to maintain a safe and clean environment as well as lower the city’s environmental impact.
Andy focuses his law practice on litigation, and his colleagues at Gross McGinley provide legal services in a variety of fields. He previously chaired the Board of Directors of the Allentown Chamber of Commerce for four years. He is, also, currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Velodrome Fund, which operates the Valley Preferred Cycling Center in “T-Town”.
