Attorney Blum Wins 1.2 Million Dollar Judgment for Breach of a Corporate Lease

A Coopersburg corporation decided to renovate a rundown bar and hotel into a first class medical facility. As part of their plan, the corporation entered into an agreement to lease a large portion of the facility to an orthopedic rehabilitation practice. However, when it became time for the orthopedic practice to take possession of the premises, they refused. A lawsuit and bench trial followed.

Attorney Michael Blum tried the case in front of the Honorable Lawrence J. Brenner. Attorney Blum demonstrated that his client lost ten year’s worth of rent, over $200,000.00 in fit-out costs, and additional damages for which the orthopedic tenant should have been responsible. In the end, Judge Brenner entered a verdict for $1,248,300.88 for Attorney Blum’s client.
