Attorney Manley Recovers Contractor Payment from Fast-Food Restaurant Owner

September 19, 2003 | Category: Attorney News

Recently, Attorney Anne Manley successfully represented a local general commercial construction contractor in a case involving non-payment by a business owner who had retained the contractor for substantial renovations to a fast-food restaurant.

The property owner took the position that partial payment should be accepted as payment in full. A suit was filed and the case went to trial, where the contractor recovered the full amount due to him, pursuant to the Contractor and Subcontractor Payment Act. Attorney Manley successfully argued that he was entitled to interest and penalties against the owner.
