Attorney Michael Henry Helps Wildlands Conservancy Close $3.8 Million Land Purchase
On Monday, Attorney Michael Henry helped Wildlands Conservancy close on a $3.8 million land purchase which was immediately resold to the Pennsylvania Game Commission. The Commission will own and manage the property as public open space. The acquisition stopped plans, controversial for years, to build a private “motorsports club” that would have involved building and operating a private race track next to the Appalachian trail. The transaction was supported by several local groups including the Commission, Monroe County, Lehigh Gap Nature Center, and the Palmerton Trustees (a panel of state and federal environmental agencies).
