The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience working in a law firm. Experience in the area of estate administration is a must. Qualified candidates must also possess excellent technology and organizational skills. The desire to be an integral part of a team in a fast-paced environment is a must!
Knowledge, Responsibilities and Skills Needed:
Knowledge of legal principles and practices at a level normally acquired through formal paralegal training or its equivalent.
Three years on the job experience in order to gain expertise needed to do substantive legal support work.
Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
Ability to proofread typed material for contextual, grammatical, typographical or spelling errors.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate in person, by e-mail and telephone and follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys and staff and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.
Ability to provide transparent and precise recordkeeping pertaining to estate checking accounts, including the use of various software programs, i.e., Lackner, QuickBooks/Quicken, etc.
Work will require 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position; may require irregular hours.
Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computer, photocopiers, fax machines, printers and typewriter.
Ability to maintain an organized and effective work space.
Ability to travel to private and public buildings, locally and statewide, via private or public conveyance to assist attorney in attending to client needs on legal matters.
