Mental health professionals play crucial roles related to family law matters. Our Family Law attorneys have partnered with the Lehigh Valley Psychological and Counseling Association to present a 1.0 credit hour seminar discussing the services therapists, counselors, and psychologists provide in family law matters and the ethical and lawful considerations of each.

The Roles of Mental Health Professionals in Family Law Matters

This session will help participants identify ethical and legal aspects of providing expert testimony in family law matters, assess legal considerations of privilege and confidentiality in family law matters, and analyze the responsibilities of mental health professionals performing home studies, custody evaluations, and parental coordination. Our attorneys will also provide real-world examples of how these roles played out in the family law setting.
