Gross McGinley Presents Estate Administration Seminar to Accountants
Attorneys James A. Ritter, Thomas A. Capehart, and Robert A. Alpert presented to a room of accountants on Thursday, November 19. The seminar, entitled “Nuances of Estate Administration”, reviewed what accountants and financial professionals need to know when serving their clients. The presentation provided insights into the practical aspects of estate administration including a review of the probate process and asset identification and management, in addition to tax considerations (Pennsylvania inheritance tax, federal death tax, federal and Pennsylvania lifetime income taxes, and federal and Pennsylvania fiduciary taxes). They also discussed closing estates, court accounting, and family agreements.
As an Approved Program Sponsor of the State Board of Accountancy, the firm provided attendees with 1.0 CPE credit.
