Gross McGinley Supports Rodale Institute and Organic Pioneer Awards
On Friday, September 13, Gross McGinley was a proud sponsor of the Organic Pioneer Awards hosted by the Rodale Institute. This event honors individuals who lead the way in establishing the organic movement. Held at the Rodale Institute farm in Kutztown, PA, Gross McGinley attorneys enjoyed organic hors d’oeuvres and cocktails in the organic gardens. Guests also enjoyed a wagon-ride tour of our farm–complete with champagne–on their way to the landmark site of the Farming Systems Trial. A seasonal, organic feast followed.
At the event, three pioneers were honored for their contributions to organic production: Bob Quinn, Founder of Kamut International; Alice Waters, Author and Restauranteur (Chez Panisse); and Dr. David Pimental, Professor Emeritus of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Cornell University.
Rodale’s Farming Systems Trial® is a side-by-side study that compares conventional agriculture with organic methods. Organic methods continually outperform traditional methods in these trials. The information discovered through this research is shared with farmers and scientists all over the world.
