Malcolm Gross Presents Lecture on John Brown Trial at Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum

Attorney Malcolm Gross will present “The Trial & Execution of John Brown & The Road to Civil War” at the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum on Saturday, March 8, 2014. The lecture will begin at 1:00 p.m. and is free to members, $6 for adults and $3 for children.
In October 1859, abolitionist Jon Brow led a raid on the federal arsenal at Harpers Ferry. Arrested and convicted of treason, he was executed that December. Attendees will hear trial attorney Malcolm Gross reveal the amazing facts about John Brown’s trial and death sentence and discover how this trial ultimately aided the abolitionist cause. Come learn the role Brown’s trial and hanging played in the nation’s growing outrage about slavery.
