Malcolm J. Gross Lectures on Trial & Execution of John Brown

Attorney Malcolm J. Gross presented “The Trial & Execution of John Brown & The Road to Civil War” at the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum on Saturday, March 8, 2014. In October 1859, abolitionist John Brown led a raid on the federal arsenal at Harpers Ferry. Arrested and convicted of treason, he was executed that December. During his lecture, Gross revealed the facts about John Brown’s trial and death sentence and how the trial ultimately aided the abolitionist cause.
At the event, Gross also signed copies of his latest book, Two Mayors and A Lawyer, published by the Lehigh County Historical Society.
