Zachary S. Bartman

Associate

Advocacy is, at its core, an exercise of diligence and empathy.

Litigator Zachary S. Bartman represents clients inside and outside the courtroom. From complex federal and commercial cases, to insurance and medical malpractice defense needs, to personal representation for landlord/tenant matters or family court, Zach serves as an advocate to seek optimal outcomes for his clients.

When a commercial or insurance dispute cannot be resolved, Zach is ready to represent businesses, as well as carriers and their policyholders. With an in-depth knowledge of current applicable laws and standards, he provides trusted counsel to secure favorable judgments and settlements.

Conversely, Zach defends those accused in medical malpractice and criminal matters. As a member of the firm’s medical malpractice defense team, he helps build legal strategies for medical negligence claims and professional liability matters by reviewing medical records, researching and working with expert witnesses. On the criminal side, he represents individuals for myriad charges, ensuring they understand the legal process and their rights.

Zach also provides litigation support in family law, right-to-know, and landlord/tenant matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Zach provided over 900 hours of pro bono legal services to the Community Legal Practice Center in Lexington, VA. As a student attorney, he represented community residents with limited financial resources in hearings and jury trials.
