Susan Wild Successfully Defends City of Allentown in Personal Injury Case
Susan Wild successfully represented the City of Allentown and a City Police Officer in a claim by a motorist that she had sustained serious personal injuries as a result of the officer’s negligent operation of his police vehicle.
The officer was responding to a request for assistance from another police officer and had entered an intersection against a red light, with lights and sirens on. He collided with the other vehicle while in the intersection.
A Lehigh County jury found that the police officer had acted properly and was not negligent in the operation of his vehicle, and that he had followed all protocols for emergency vehicles responding to a distress call. The accident occurred in July of 2003, and the jury verdict was entered on October 10, 2007.
