Women’s Resources Appoints Loren Speziale Board President

Loren L. Speziale was recently appointed President of the Board of Directors for Women’s Resources of Monroe County. A native of Monroe County and graduate of Stroudsburg High School, Loren has served the organization for the past five years as a Board Member as well as a member of the Gala Committee and 5K Committee.

Women’s Resources of Monroe County, Inc. is a nonprofit, community-based agency that provides a safe and caring environment that encourages healing and empowerment for anyone whose life has been impacted by domestic and sexual violence. The organization strives to engage the community through awareness, advocacy, and prevention. The organization offers a 24-hour hotline, crisis shelter, counseling services, prevention education and risk reduction programs in area schools and the community, and legal and medical advocacy.

Loren regularly counsels small to mid-sized businesses on employment and corporate matters including workplace issues, policies and procedures, contracts, business structure, sales and acquisitions, and commercial real estate. She also works with financial institutions on commercial loan transactions and assists private equity firms with the acquisition and handling of distressed loans, from performing the upfront due diligence through acquisition and strategic resolutions.

Loren is a recognized leader in the business community, serving as a board member for the Chamber’s Small Business Council as well as the Easton Area Chamber of Commerce. She also currently serves as Chairperson of the City of Bethlehem Human Relations Commission. Lehigh Valley Business recently honored Loren as one of Lehigh Valley’s 2018 Women of Influence. She also was listed as a 2017 Local Legal Leader in Lehigh Valley Magazine.
