C.A.R.E.S. Act – Transparency in Coverage Final Rule 2022

In 2020, the Federal government established a set of regulations requiring group health plans and insurers to be more transparent and disclose pricing information to allow for the insured patient to view and compare costs of medical services from different providers. The decision made by the U.S. Departments of Treasury, and Health and Human Services under the C.A.R.E.S. Act is called the Transparency in Coverage Final Rule 2022 and you can read more about it at FederalRegister.gov
