Legal Administrative Assistant

Full Time

Location: Allentown, PA location (in office daily)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Open new files, prepare conflicts checks and draft engagement letters.
  • Draft, edit and finalize emails and letters.
  • Transcribe and type correspondence and other documents, and proofread materials.
  • Manage attorneys’ calendars and assist with tracking deadlines.
  • Maintain attorney files.
  • Liaison between client and attorney and responds to clients calls in a timely manner.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned in support of attorneys.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

  • The position requires an independent, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and flexible individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both within and outside the firm.
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
  • Willingness to learn and be adaptable.
  • Extremely proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to proactively follow through.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Legal Administrative Assistant experience preferred in a mid-to large-size law firm.
