Duties
As a Wills, Trusts, and estates Attorney, your primary responsibilities will be to oversee and manage the administration of an estate on behalf of the decedent, executor, and beneficiaries. You will also draft estate planning documents for clients. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the interests and wishes of the client are carried out in accordance with legal requirements and ethical standards.

  • Communicating with clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, and other parties

involved in the administration process

  • Utilizing Westlaw for legal research purposes
  • Drafting legal documents such as trust agreements, amendments, and distribution plans, wills, POA, healthcare directives
  • Writing detailed reports on the financial status and performance of each plan/estate/trust

Experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Proven experience in legal research; familiarity with Westlaw
  • Strong knowledge of trust law and estate planning principles
  • Excellent people skills, including written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
