Adrian K. Cousens

Adrian K. Cousens serves as Co-Chair of Gross McGinley’s Litigation Practice Group, leading an experienced group of attorneys versed in a broad spectrum of representation, with a focus on Trust and Estate Litigation. 

Adrian helps to lead Gross McGinley’s Trust and Estate Litigation team, specializing in complex Orphans’ Court cases. With a keen understanding of the intricacies involved, his expertise covers will contests, probate litigation, and undue influence claims. Adrian skillfully handles probate appeals, fiduciary duty breaches, and improper execution issues. He also represents clients in trustee and executor removals, power of attorney challenges, and guardianship disputes. Throughout these emotionally charged proceedings, Adrian’s meticulous approach ensures his clients’ interests are vigorously protected at every stage.

Additionally, Adrian leads the firm’s Insurance Defense practice, serving as panel counsel to major insurance carriers and personal counsel to self-insured entities in routine and complex cases. He has handled insurance defense and coverage cases throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey State and Federal courts, as well as mandatory and voluntary Alternative Dispute forums.

Throughout his career, Adrian has worked with small and large businesses in a cross-section of industries including logistics, construction, manufacturing, agriculture, hospitality, architecture, engineering, education, health services, security, and real estate. He also practices law outside of the courtroom, collaborating with his colleagues to counsel clients on litigation prevention and risk transfer.

Prior to his legal career, Adrian worked in the semiconductor industry and was a Sergeant in the United States Air Force, working in the industrial hygiene field.
