Sarah Murray Appointed Bar President for Lehigh County

Sarah M. Murray, Partner Attorney with Gross McGinley, LLP, was recently appointed to the position of President of the Bar Association of Lehigh County. On January 11, 2018, a gavel was ceremonially passed from the previous Bar President, Michelle M. Forsell, to Sarah, who will be the youngest female president to serve the Bar in its history. During her one-year term, Sarah will be the driving force behind the Bar’s education and social initiatives.

“Some of my initiatives as Bar President include increasing young attorney involvement in the Bar as well as boosting the Bar’s educational opportunities for transactional/business attorneys,” stated Sarah.

Prior to her presidency, Sarah served on the board for the bar association for five years. She also served the Bar as Co-Chair of the Finance Committee and as former Chair of the Young Lawyers Division.

The Bar Association of Lehigh County serves the area’s lawyers, courts, and community through educational programs, ethical guidance, and community service projects.

Sarah focuses her legal practice on corporate law, real estate, and municipal law, working with companies in a variety of industries throughout the Lehigh Valley region. She serves on the Board of Trustees for Cetronia Ambulance Corps and was recently appointed as Solicitor to Lehigh County (expected to be officially confirmed later this month). Sarah earned her J.D. and M.B.A. in 2006 from Pennsylvania State University and her B.S., magna cum laude, from Tulane University in 2003.
