Gross McGinley Litigators Included in the 2021 Edition of The Best Lawyers in America

Gross McGinley is pleased to announce Attorneys Malcolm J. Gross and Adrian K. Cousens were selected for inclusion in the 2021 Edition of The Best Lawyers in America©. Mal, firm co-founder, has been recognized for his Media Law work since 2019, and Adrian, chair of the firm’s litigation team, was recognized for his work in Insurance Litigation. The annual publication recognizes the top legal talent in the country through a peer review process. The 27th Edition of The Best Lawyers in America highlights the top 6% of private practicing attorneys in the U.S.

In 1976, Mal co-founded Gross McGinley, LLP. Throughout his five-decade career, he has taken on several cases involving the rights of the media and First Amendment issues. He represented newspapers, reporters, and other media outlets in Pennsylvania in defamation, subpoenas, freedom of information suits as they fought to gain access to information. Today, Mal continues to write and lecture on First Amendment, Constitutional Law, the Sunshine Act and many historical topics surrounding the Civil War. He frequently speaks to bar associations and community organizations and has taught Media and Publishing Law at Muhlenberg College and Cedar Crest College. In 2019, Mal was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from The Legal Intelligencer. He has also been selected to the annual Pennsylvania Super Lawyers ten times.

Fellow litigator Adrian Cousens joined Gross McGinley in 2016. He leads a team of more than 15 attorneys representing individuals and corporations in matters related to medical malpractice defense, bankruptcy, personal injury, employment, professional liability, public utilities and more. As recognized in Best Lawyers®, Adrian focuses his practice on Insurance Litigation. He serves as counsel to major insurance carriers and self-insured entities in matters related to automobile liability, construction, premises liability and insurance coverage. Through his membership in the Northampton County Bar Association, Adrian leads the Book Buddies charitable program.
