Gross McGinley is pleased to announce that Senior Counsel Catherine E. Sears has been selected as a 2026 Women to Watch recipient by Lehigh Valley Business. This recognition highlights emerging women leaders who demonstrate professional excellence, strong character, and meaningful contributions to the business community. As a member of Gross McGinley’s Wills, Trusts, and Estates practice group, Cathy helps clients plan for the future with thoughtful, practical guidance. Since joining the firm in June 2024 and advancing to Senior Counsel in January 2026, she has continued to build her practice through a client-centered approach grounded in education, collaboration, and service. Cathy’s work is guided by discipline in the details, a strong sense of service, and a commitment to helping clients make informed decisions in matters that are often deeply personal. She focuses on making estate planning more understandable and less intimidating by explaining options clearly, encouraging questions, and helping clients create plans that reflect both their assets and their values. Her commitment to service extends well beyond her legal practice. Cathy serves on the Board of Directors of the Estate Planning Council of the Lehigh Valley and supports community initiatives such as Wills for Heroes, which provides estate planning documents at no cost to first responders and veterans. She is also active in her faith community at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, where she volunteers in support of students, families, and parish life. “We are proud to see Cathy recognized among this year’s Women to Watch honorees,” shared Gross McGinley Partner R. Nicholas Nanovic. “Within Gross McGinley, Cathy has had a measurable positive impact in a relatively short period of time. She is meticulous in her preparation, practical in her advice, and unfailingly calm and compassionate with families who are navigating some of the most difficult seasons of their lives. Her colleagues regularly seek her out as a sounding board because she listens carefully, asks the right questions, and keeps both legal strategy and human impact in view.” Gross McGinley congratulates Cathy on this well-deserved honor and looks forward to supporting her continued growth as a leader in the legal profession and in the Lehigh Valley business community.
