Sarah Murray Appointed to Solicitor for Lehigh County

Sarah M. Murray was appointed to the position of Solicitor for Lehigh County by the newly elected County Executive, Phillips Armstrong. Sarah was nominated by Armstrong for the position in early January and was recently confirmed by the Lehigh County Board of Commissioners on January 24, 2018. Sarah is one of the youngest attorneys to have ever served in this position.

This is a prestigious role for a young attorney, which requires a strong municipal background. As Solicitor for Lehigh County, Sarah will provide legal guidance to both the County Executive and the County Commissioners, while managing nine Assistant Solicitors who also serve the County.

Located in Eastern Pennsylvania, Lehigh County is the 11th largest county in the state and includes the City of Allentown, the state’s third largest city.

Sarah, a Partner Attorney with Gross McGinley, focuses her legal practice on municipal law, corporate law, and real estate, working with municipalities and companies in a variety of industries throughout the Lehigh Valley region. In addition to her new role with Lehigh County, Murray also represents Whitehall Township, the Borough of Quakertown, and the Borough of Coopersburg as an assistant solicitor. She serves on the Board of Trustees for Cetronia Ambulance Corps and was recently elected as President of the Bar Association for Lehigh County.
