Loren Speziale Provides Valuable Guidance for First Time Homebuyers

Real estate attorney and licensed title agent Loren L. Speziale was recently invited to serve as a panelist for the Lehigh Valley Chamber’s Young Professionals Council “First Time Home Buying” seminar at the National Museum of Industrial History in Bethlehem. Loren was joined by fellow panelists Christopher Byrnes, Finance of America Mortgage; John Gross, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate; and Christopher Raad, Harvey Raad Realtors. Justin Porembo, Chief Executive Officer for the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors served as the moderator.

Panelists were asked to describe the general step-by-step process for buying a home including describing the different parties involved and the mortgage process. Each panelist agreed that it is important for first time homebuyers to surround themselves with trusted professionals who have their best interests in mind. Loren was specifically asked to describe the role of a real estate attorney and licensed title agent. She also explained to attendees the purpose of title insurance and its standardized fees. The most popular segment of the evening was when panelists offered the most common errors they see first time buyers make. The most common error mentioned was when buyers don’t do their homework.

The event was a part of the YPC’s #TheAdultingSeries, conceptualized by YPC committee member, Attorney Sarah K. Hart.
