Eric A. Harakal is an experienced attorney representing clients in Criminal Defense, Family Law, and Civil Litigation. Attorney Harakal joined Gross McGinley in 2023 and is dedicated to advocating for and protecting the rights of individuals within the legal system. Recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer and named a Top Lawyer in the Lehigh Valley by The Morning Call, Eric brings proven advocacy and sound judgment to every matter he handles.
Eric’s practice spans a wide range of criminal matters, from serious felonies to misdemeanors and traffic offenses, as well as divorce, custody, and related family law issues. He also represents clients in civil disputes, including landlord–tenant matters, contract disputes, insurance defense, and other litigation, approaching each case with preparation, persistence, and professionalism.
Eric began his legal career in 2013 in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, before serving as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. He then advanced to Senior Litigation Attorney on the Criminal Law team at Banks Law Group, gaining extensive courtroom experience and insight into both prosecution and defense perspectives.
Committed to the growth and vitality of the Lehigh Valley, Eric serves on the Board of Directors of Emmaus Main Street Partners, where his leadership supports downtown development and community partnerships. He previously served on the board of Angel 34 in Orefield, Pennsylvania, a nonprofit devoted to supporting children battling cancer in the Lehigh Valley, reflecting his broader commitment to service beyond the courtroom.
