People are not supposed to be at the mercy of law; rather, law is supposed to be at the mercy of people

Attorney Michael S. Horvath serves the firm’s Business, Municipal, Real Estate, and Sports Law/NIL clients. He thrives working in fast-paced industries and finds great satisfaction in helping businesses and entrepreneurs achieve their goals. Clear communication and punctuality are values Mike brings to his practice.

While launching a new venture can feel daunting, Mike helps clients navigate the complexities of the startup process. He is well-versed in drafting operating agreements, stockholder agreements, NDAs, and other contractual documents to help his clients succeed. In addition to entity formation and general matters, he counsels growing businesses on mergers & acquisitions, as well as selling or transferring a business.

As a real estate attorney, Mike handles commercial, industrial, and residential transactions. He is adept at preparing lease agreements and loan documents, ensuring his clients’ best interests are protected.

When businesses face municipal challenges, Mike provides support with zoning board applications and liquor control board licensing. He represents his clients before municipal boards and helps seek optimal solutions in zoning matters impacting their operations.

As a Sports Law Attorney, Mike guides athletes, schools, organizations, coaches, and parents through the legal complexities of the NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) space, including support with contract formation/negotiation, compliance, and legal advising. Additionally, Attorney Horvath represents many different types of clients in the sports industry, and he assists with organizational governance & formation, sports-related transactions, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance. A former baseball player, Editor-in-Chief of the Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal, and President of the Bloomsburg University Club Baseball Team, Mike takes a personal interest in sports law, providing legal insights to athletes and athletic organizations.
