Alexander O. Ward

Associate

Alexander O. Ward is an attorney with Gross McGinley’s Litigation and Criminal Defense teams, known for his thoughtful and client-focused approach to every case. His diverse legal background includes six years as a judicial law clerk in Northampton County, experience at a law firm in Easton, Pennsylvania, years of independent practice, and service as an Assistant Public Defender in Northampton County, all of which deepened his dedication to client advocacy.

While working as a judicial law clerk, first for the Honorable Paula A. Roscioli and then for the Honorable Leonard N. Zito, Alex established and refined his voice as a legal writer through drafting hundreds of opinions and observing some of the region’s top attorneys in both civil and criminal matters. This experience also provided the foundation for Alex’s approach to the practice of law, shaping his commitment to clarity and professionalism.

For Alex, success as a defense attorney means ensuring his clients are truly heard. He defines achievement as presenting his client’s perspective effectively, advocating for them with depth and understanding, and helping them use their legal experience as a springboard rather than a setback.

Alex’s love for the law began in law school, where he enjoyed learning and debating complex legal concepts. Today, he thrives on breaking down the law into its essential parts, finding creative solutions, and using his knowledge to help those who might otherwise go unheard. He is drawn to the challenge of legal practice and is dedicated to serving individuals and the broader community in meaningful ways. Alex continues to be inspired by people with stories of perseverance and resilience, whether drawn from his daily interactions, the American Revolution or classic works of literature.

Alexander O. Ward looks forward to working for and giving back to those in need throughout his community, embodying Gross McGinley’s commitment to compassion, integrity, and client-focused service.
